I’ve always liked this image.
I was editing though some photos I took a couple years ago and came across this image again.
It’s simple, lights and darks, indirect — Would most would throw this away? Would they think it a misfired capture, an attempt that didn’t work? “You cant see her face, whats going on in this image?”
I like that question, I like this image.
I clearly remember shooting it too, quickly seeing it, a fast guess at exposure, one step and it’s gone.
I think it’s beautiful, elusive… I want to follow her, to step into the dark, study the knots in her hair and count the subtle freckles on
her shoulders.
